Looking at your gallery today for the first time. You have some spectacular images there. So many are well-composed and dramatic. It is not easy to capture the subtle beauty of Midwestern landscapes but yours are beautiful. I really like your unique take on wildflowers. I see a lot of "old friends" there - Goldthread, Spiderwort, Bloodroot, Hepatica and Rue Anemone, Wood Poppy, Sundrops, Virginia Bluebells, Blazing Star, Beardtongue, Hoary Vervain - all beautifully rendered. The old wrecks, the barns grain elevators and farm scenes, the railroad subjects - gorgeous work. That is not to disparage your other subjects, but those are the ones I have an affinity with.
I think you are seeing beauty in the otherwise mundane and expressing it very effectively with your images. Can't say enough about that. Well done.

Mike, I am sure not even how to respond to that and try to stay humble... Wow. Thank you so much, sincerely.. I believe most Artists and Photographers have somewhat of an introverted personality and are often misunderstood. I may be wrong, but that is my perception.. What I do with my images is a big creative outlet for me, so when people appreciate my images or understand them it means a lot to me.. I just do what feels natural to me and do the best I can with my region. There are many places in the world on my bucket list, but right now Northern Illinois is it.. So, thank you very much and I am glad you enjoyed my gallery. I never expect everyone to like my images, but I think most can find at least one image in my gallery that they can relate to or appreciate... You really made my night Mike, so thank you.. :)

Thank you kindly Angela.. I am not sure if anyone has told you, but some of your style is much like Heirloom Tomato who passed this year and missed here dearly by many.. I am not sure if that is a compliment to you or not, but believe me that is a good thing.. :) Thanks again Angela..

I have not heard that Travesty, and she was here probably before I joined, so I'm not familiar with her work. But I will take that as a compliment, thank you! :)
