Good to see that there are still people intent on keeping analog alive and kicking!

If this place gets destroyed it will be a sad day for sure.. As for me I love analog not only in film but in audio, I still have all tube audio gear and it sounds glorious. Also reel to reel gear and analog tape. Oh yes I shoot digital but I still shoot film every once in a while. I realize analog is a niche medium but I am hooked in it so, LONG LIVE ANALOG!

Very cool, looks like your studio...not sure what deck that is in the first image though it looks to be half inch tape deck. Nice Teac image two, I believe it too is half inch also.. Yeah I had a small recording studio in my garage did small groups mostly demo stuff, but that is as far as I went with it.. I had the Teac quarter inch four Chanel also Akai quarter inch four channel and a Tandberg quarter inch two channel mix down deck, oh yeah mixing board was a Teac six channel. Still have all my gear accept the mikes.....love photography but still involved with music and the High End Audio circles. How about you?

The first pic was at the BBC radio studios in Birmingham in 1974. I was working full time as a photographer but I also did freelance audio engineering work evenings and weekends. You can only see the one in the pic, but to the left of that was the second of a pair of Studer quarter inch decks.

The second pic was around 5 years ago. It's a Teac A3440 quarter inch 4 track that I bought for a project that never happened. I sold it on a couple of years ago to buy more gear for my other hobby, Ham Radio...

Now retired, but still enjoying my photography and also talking to people around the world on the airwaves :-)

Here's a pic of my current radio "shack"

Yeah I have the Teac 3340, I think it still works. Ham Radio,
good for you.. One of my Uncle"s was a big time ham radio guy, he knew several languages so he talked to people all over the world...I used to love to got to his house just to see his rig, it was massive..it was quite a long time ago and all gear was tube. He also was an accomplished musician...

Take care
John

A lot of hams still cherish and regularly use tube gear John, but as with cameras, I now prefer the benefits of using modern equipment :)

Cheers

I understand, I am sure the modern gear is much more efficient...
