I love the rich intensity of the reds. Down loading #2, and using Topaz Clarity, I found a lot of very interesting detail which added structure to the flowers and brought up the background slightly, yet still suppressed.
What camera, what settings? Did you do Post? Every photo contains many other possible photos... ain't it fun!

Chuck on this one, I noticed the detail of the petals, the bug that was on one of the flowers. And also noticed how pretty the flowers were against the deep green of the background.

A little maybe, but a cluster of blooms is always a challenge. Chuck, it you're not aiming to get them all in focus (and that's fine) you could try focusing on the center of the closest bloom. It all depends on the effect you like.
