For some reason I have been getting virus attacks when on this sight. My computer is protected but I am getting warnings that it is being attacked. Are any others having this happen to their PC's?

It doesn't seem to happen when using the PC on other sights. So maybe admin needs to look into this!

Which anti-virus software are you running, and which Browser? I've never had that problem here.

Just finished having my computer completely stripped of all information and spending many hours reconstructing and reloading all of my programs after a virus attack. Can't say the virus came from this site but the amount of adware that I get on UHH is 10 times more than any other site. Makes me wonder.

I do not think it is from this site.

The number of advertisement is a problem, no question. If some the advert lead to corrupted sites UHH has a problem because it advertises bad sites. One can always say: "you should not click on everything' but that answer is a bit moronic.

To kill some of the primitive attacks the method is simple:
- Use 'adblock' to make the adverts invisible
- Use 'no script' to kill third party scripts that do not originate on UHH.

UHH uses only google.

Same thing, do not load both as they will enter in conflict.

Is your regular virus software giving you the warning? Sometimes, a competitor will tell you that you have a problem so they can sell you their product.

I've never gotten a warning while on this site.

Are the warnings from a site offering to clean your computer?

Actually, Ad Block will reduce the Ad's
Ad Block Plus will stop video's that come on. The both are designed to work together or seperate. One does one thing and the other does another..

Been using together for two years now.

When this happens to you, sometimes you can go into control panel; select the programs and feature option and then look over all of the programs that have be downloaded into your computer.. Sometimes you will find a program that had downloaded which you hadn't asked for !
When you find one of those, uninstall it and see if such solves your problem ? It's worked for me.

Good advice. I do that occasionally and sort by date.

Exactly ! Thanks for bringing up "sorting by date" !

I had overlooked the fact that sorting by date is exactly what I do.. Such as: When I think that my computer has been infected by a virus, I open control panel, click onto "programs and features" and look for most recent dates for programs that have been downloaded into my computer ~ those which I had not requested nor wanted to be downloaded ! Once that I find one or any like this, I immediately uninstall them whereby, more often than not, my problem with a suspected virus has been resolved !

Well, good for you. I have experienced issues when using both so I stay away.

Am willing to hear about the issues ? What type of issues did you experience when following the procedure which I had used ? Anything that you could provide might prevent me from experiencing the same..

Thank You.

I don't experience pop up ads or issues on this site using either IE or Chrome.
But in general if something on any site pops up that looks questionable, I don't click the X to close because sometimes that launches something you don't want.
Instead I hit Ctrl Alt Delete to close it out and stop the process.
