I found a Canon EOS Rebel XTi with 3 Canon lens, uv filter, electric charger, 2 batteries, owners manual, 3 compact flash (, cables, camera bag and card reader. It was priced at $299.99. They were having a 20% off sale on cameras. I got the out the door for $260 dollars.
It has the EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6II lens,
the EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 II lens, and
the Bower MC7 2X C/AFI tele-converter lens from Japan.
I have no idea about the shutter count. Everything seems to work. These two photos were taken with my phone camera.
These were taken with the camera. The bottom picture is Sissy. She is 10 years old. She is a spoiled rotten to the core daddy's baby. This is the last picture taken. Can anyone use it to try and get a shutter count? I have tried but have not been able to get it.
Thanks. It looks like a made a good choice. I asked the Lord to help me make the right decision. So I give him all of the credit.
Great choice and nice prayer!!!

You got a good deal Ken. I have one among other Canons. I found the 18-55 mm lens wasn't that great though. I took most pictures using a Tamron 17-35mm lens, "very Sharp". Since I take many pics. of the grandchildren I found the higher ISO setting not so great. It's best to use 400 ISO or under, so, I had to use flash to stop the fast movements of children. I also have a 60D and finally purchased a Canon 6D, Wow! what a difference. Your choice is a good one to start with though. Mine still works fine. :) :) :)
Mr. Ken, Noting your good fortune, think I'm gonna start praying more when I get a GAS urge!
Thanks. This is a "starter" camera for me. Maybe in a couple of years or so, I will upgrade to a better camera. But then again, I am not taking photos every weekend, only as I need them.

It looks good and in nice condition, so "the Lord" may have been on your side. If you want to know shutter count, you may need to ask "the Lady"! Women frequently seem to know things that escape us guys.
Canon records shutter count data, but doesn't publish it in EXIF data. There are websites and computer software packages etc. that can help. Are you a MAC or PC guy?
Search the forum, ask Mr.Google, or PM me if needed.
Good luck and enjoy....

I went with the canon for 2 reasons. There is no sharp ridge on the right side of the back of the canon like Nikon and my finger just falls on the shutter button (less movement).
I did see an over priced Nikon D300s with a larger zoom lens at another pawn shop. They wanted $1000 for it. I offered them $500 and would you believe they turned down my offer :P

I just sold the exact same combo yesterday, in a Canon backpack bag for $200. Took it in on trade for a Canon 6D kit last Saturday.

If you can spring the extra bucks, you should look into a Canon 550EX flash; it integrates very well with the Rebel camera (I set the camera to the P setting, and it sets the right shutter speed and aperture because it knows what the flash will do) and it has a little deflector that will slide in front of the light to reduce the normal harsh shadows you get from flash.
