These were taken in Pisgah Forest, WNC, last weekend. I can't wait to see these roads once the trees are in peak!

Thank you! #1 is lacking focus, but I was rushed... I love the wild flowers in the mountains and just want to roll around in all the lushness! :-)

Thanks for sharing. According to WYFF the area around Mt Mitchell is in full color and other areas in the "tall" category are rapidly getting there. All indications are that there is going to be more color than usual. Think I'm going to ride up to the Blowing Rock area tomorrow to check that area out.

Sounds like a great plan! I love how drastically (sp?) it changes in just a few days. My goal is to drive up every weekend for the next 6 weeks. I can't get enough!
Isn't Mount Mitchell the highest elevation in that area? I bet it's gorgeous. I haven't ventured that way, yet.

Yes, you're correct. Living in Greer we make trips often to the mountains. My wife is away for the weekend and I know she's expecting me to do some painting but I told her before she left that I was going to the mountains tomorrow while I can linger where and how long I want to do so. LOL Hope you have a great time photographing the leaves this season.
