That's an interesting picture.
Have you thought about getting your flash off of the camera and getting some side lighting on things like this?
Shadows and side-lighting are what make interesting photos in my opinion. Full frontal lighting is flat lighting.

I usually watch for that sort of thing. I just received a new lens today and couldn't wait to "PLAY" with it. Like a kid in a candy store, LOL

What is the dark spot on the top apple---looks like a shadow. Is this a photo of actual fruit or of a picture?? If it's all real fruit my hat's off for the amount of work it took to get it all together and a very nice arrangement. A little more pop and get rid of that shadow, you'll have a nice photo..........

coco1964, this hangs on my kitchen wall. It is a fake fruit decoration, as my kitchen is done in grapes/apples. Got a new lens that day, and was just eager to see what it would do.
