My daughter cracked the LCD screen on her Nikon D60. My husband found a replacement screen on EBay. Has anyone ever replaced a screen themselves and was it difficult?

You may want to sign up at "Nikon Repair Yahoo", costs nothing to join.

A large group of knowledgeable Nikon Techs over there. I'm sure they'll walk you right through the procedure. There doesn't seem to be any equipment they can't repair.

LCD replacement is easy. If you have tear down diagrams, electromechanical aptitude, are very careful and not afraid of a tiny screwdriver (Probably a #0 Phillips head) you can do it.

Here is a video on the teardown and replacement.

Me? I wouldn't use tweezers on them ribbons. Too dangerous.

Looks easier than some I've done. This is my opinion, I do a lot of small electronics repair.
