Thanks so much cmc65, so glad you enjoyed, really appreciate your looking and kind comment. These were taken with a Canon T2i, canon 70-210mm USM lens with a tamron 1.4x. The lens is at least 10-15 years old, but still does a good job, the only drawback is I have to find ways to get closer to the birds. Thanks again

Is it wise to stand in the swamps of the everglades with a lens that's on the 'short' end?

Great shots, especially of the heron skimming the water.

Wow, Nice shots, tack sharp when I open download on My Apple Computer.

Hope one day, I can hone my camera skills to obtain awesome shots like these.

I spent my Career in Miami, fished out of Everglades/Chokoloska a lot, use to go up Ferguson River at the time great Snook fishing there.

Thanks for sharing.

tom

So glad you enjoyed tom kf4wol, always appreciate your looking and kind comment, thanks. The fishing is still good, if it wasn't for that and the stone crab industry this area would not exist. It is a beautiful place

No problem cmc65, you just need to be a little more aware of everything. I was standing on the flats the other day in salty/brackish water when a 6' gator swam by, he saw me and turned the other way, I was getting ready to start walking backwards. Don't see them on the flats a lot, mostly in fresh water.

Great shots as always, Gregory. I'm beginning to see a little increase in the bird population also. Saw my first Kingfisher since sometime in June last week.....

Thanks so much Jimjay, so glad you enjoyed, always appreciate your looking and kind comment. I too have seen a few female kingfishers show up. They always lead the way and start to dig their burrows in the mud banks and wait for the males to arrive and help finish the digging, should see males soon

Always outstanding, Gregory. Few people can capture the beauty and motion of birds in flight as well as you, and you make it look effortless.

The reflection with the wingtip at the edge of the water in number two is just a beauty! But each is special in its own way. Great work!

Thanks so much Treepusher, so glad you enjoyed, greatly appreciate your looking and very kind comment. I am very lucky to live in an area that gives me the opportunities
