For ME it has changed tremendously. I used to be in the rants regularly. Now... 'Out of sight, out of mind.' I only came here to verify my suspicions. I looked at the list of posters... the usual suspects. Mostly angry old conservatives forewarning, "The sky is falling!" still inhabit the realm.

The Newest Topics page is less cluttered with non-photographic chatter. I like that. I rant less and my blood pressure is probably better for it. I am happier anyway.

I like the Attic opportunity to blow off some steam. I think it is a wonderful idea. I am also glad not to be sucked into it anymore. lol

That was the same idea for creating the Non-Photographic Chit Chat section. A place for controversial topics that wouldn't clutter the photographic sections. To much complaining prompted Admin to act. Now the left, those same people complaining about controversial topics in Non-Photographic Chit Chat section are in the attic complaining about the same controversial topics.

I think of the Attic as being more like the red light district in Amsterdam. It's the only game in town for the regulars but the day trippers can have a look now and then without having to see it all the time.

I was 19 when I visited the RLD in Amsterdam. That was a long time ago. It was right next to the Youth Hostel, where I stayed for two nights. Unfortunately for me I was a poor student hitch-hiking my way for 8 weeks, through Western Europe at the time.
