Nice gentle example of HDR. A small tweak on the Smooth Highlights and or Micro Smoothing sliders will get rid of halo. Sky is the color that Photomatix and other HDR software gives to a solid blue sky. Stack HDR image on top of the original with best sky and use adjustment layer to brush through some of the original sky
