Life has been very busy on my end and I haven't had much time for field macro. The odd day I have had time to go out and shoot, outings have been cut short due to rain. I got to go out yesterday and enjoy a good 4 hours in the field. Critters seem a bit scarce, then again I could be out of practice. Looks like I have most of my weekends free for the rest of the year so I should get back into form soon.

Sunflowers were blooming everywhere on the Bayou. Made for some easy pickings when I could see the focal plane clearly...

Not a Macro but pleased with this one, finally a decent Bee in flight. Rather lucky with this shot.

Hey., William. Who cares if it's not macro? That's a very nice Bee in flight capture. "Preparation is the mother of luck."

Thanks Allen, a lot of truth to what you say. Someone recently told me I had talent, I told 'em not really just perseverance. Capturing this bugger in flight gave me some ideas on how to do it better next time. This was manual focus, I think auto focus may produce more consistent results.

These are great photos. I love them all but the bee is sort of special especially on download. He sure is heavily weighed down with pollen. Well done.

Beautiful shots, as always, William. They are a real pleasure to view. The BIF is fantastic and I really love the big ol' bumblebee. On the download, the bee's head looks like a flower unto itself.
