You missed a real good deal on the Canon T3i on Aug. 4th. Amazon was running a special Canon T3i, plus a 18-55 lens, a55-250 lens, a 75-300 lens, tiffen filter, and Canon PIXMA Pro 9000 photo printer for $875.03 after rebate of $400. The special offer sold out real fast.

The Nikon has EXPEED 2 image processing, which allows use of very high ISO "film" speeds with amazing quality. I have been shooting with the Nikon D7000, and have found ISO 1000 is as noiseless as many other digicams are at ISO 100. Properly lit, shooting at ISO 5000 is quite excellent. The key is being properly lit. The sensor balks, particularly in ANY "auto exposure" mode, when inky blackness enters the frame, say, during night shooting, when the ISO ramps up to noise at 25,000+ ISO. Controlling the ISO is key, but very high ISO's, say, to 6,400 will deliver amazing results under the right conditions.

Also, shooting 1080p movies is a great advantage, with autofocus in movie mode. (That said, you do find MUCH better movie making using MANUAL mode and MANUAL focus, but that's just my film festival winning side kicking in.)
I have tested shooting in 1080 on the D7000 with a LAPTOP screen as key light. It worked great!
