John he is at the Dallas Zoo in Texas. I had never heard or seen anything like him. I was indeed fascinated with him and he just seemed to look right at you. He's pretty but scary just the same.

Thanks so much for the info, doubt I will make it that far but thanks for giving me(us all) the chance to see a once in a life time endangered species from what really amounts to another world. I sure would of never known had it not been for your picture.

It seems they live in South America. There is a great documentary in NATGEO about them. Fabulous eagles. You must see them attacking the photographer/camarographer in that documentary.
