I spend a lot of time on Oahu's North Shore in front of Pipeline. Have a ton of shots. Here are a few - hope you like them.

What a set of images!!!
And #3...Cool shot!
Wished surfer guy was larger in an image.
I've not seen a silhouette of a surfer that I can remember.

Yep. Number 3 for me also. Since he is a silhouette I bet you could get away with cropping a bit tighter. Don't crop so tight as to lose the sunset or the observer.
Those are very nice, more please!
Eric
Thanks guys. You give me confidence.
In terms of framing/cropping -- I tend to live with what I shot, except for leveling the horizon. Don't post produce much, as my God, what the cameras do with their computers pretty much does it all. Although noise reduction in Lightroom is fantastic.
These shots were done with a Leica Digilux 3 (7.5 megapixels) and a Canon Powershot G9 (the silhouette of the guys in the line-up). I tend to up my blacks a little - a matter of taste.
3 would be great if the other guy was not there, maybe crop a little, good shots
I love # 3, but I have to agree with heyjoe it would be better if the silhouette on the right was not there. It wasn't until I read heyjoe's post that I notice there was a surfer in the background. I think your eye is drawn to the silhouette first. I wonder if you could photoshop it out (that is if you wish).
Amazing, colorful photos. Keep posting and Welcome.
It's funny how we all see this differently. I think that the observer adds to the story. Yes that is who you see initially then you look to see what he is looking at and get the gift of the surfer.
