Tracy and i came across a pair of these little birds today thought you may enjoy them too
these were in an area that was badly burnt by a huge bush fire earlier this year the fire was so hot that huge gum trees just fell over , so it is really nice to see some birds coming back , if you look at the branches you can see their still black from the fire

You and Tracy must have had a good day with your Kingfishers!
Your K/F's are much like our Belted K/F's althogh I can't see as pronounced a top knot or crest?
Color and pattern are very similar. Your photos are terrific but, No. 1 is my favorite, it is just crackin'!
Thank's for sharing! Do you ever see ant snakes out there?

I like these. Very sharp and nice color. I'm sure the lens is very good and helps out; but ultimately, it is still the person behind the lens that makes the photo work. Nicely done.
