My DSLR Will Be On The Shelf For A Time

We were given several pounds of steaks, and while making room in the laundry room freezer my wife found 2 20-roll Pro Packs of 35mm Fujichrome RVP behind some blue ice. Since there's no room to freeze it, looks like the digital will be sitting until I can shoot it up. Hoo Ray!

Nice reminder of what photography used to cost. Let me never whine about the price of printer ink again!

That's only 40 shots, with that Osprey flying by, take me about 10 seconds. Get the digital back out. :D :D :D

Indeed. At 8 frames per second, I'm sure not going to be shooting birds with the F5. I'll probably shoot fall foliage and landscapes with my rangefinder.

40 shots? Its 1440 shots. Fuji Pro-Packs are 20 rolls of 36 exposures each, that's 40 ROLLS x 36 = 1440 exposures.

Quite a few years ago we went to Disney World again. I think it was the 3rd time we went. The boys were old enough to have each a camera, I had 2 cameras one movie and one still and hubby had a 35 mm. We would all start out with our cameras and all but hubby's would end up with mom. I knew hubby was taking a lot of pictures, but I didn't pay attention to what he was taking. As he finished a roll he would give it to me and I'd mail them off to be processed. When we got back home we had a lot of pictures waiting for us. The man took almost 200 pictures of the castle in every imaginable way. With all those cameras when we went to a luau and they dressed him up in a hula skirt all of the cameras were in the camper. UUGH!!

Funny, I have 6 1/2 of the same Pro Packs in my freezer, of Velvia. SLOWLY still shooting it! ;-)

I tossed my remaining film into the trash.
