Sherry, I've just downloaded these, and they're gorgeous! I'm amazed at your handheld shots. I would have to use a tripod to get something this sharp.

Dixiegirl directed me to this nearby land of photo ops. Thanks, Donna! It was a most enjoyable day.

I don't know the names of even the most common wildflowers, so all ID's welcome.

Thank you, Donna. I'm glad you like them. I usually have a problem with camera movement. I just figured out what happened - my teetering must have been in sync with the slight breeze that was blowing! I love happy accidents!

I wish I could learn to teeter with the wind, Sherry. LOL

To my eye, #3 is especially nice.

I wish I'd thought of it sooner -- just go with the flow.

I got your message about the missing link. It has now been sent. I think. Maybe.

Thank you for looking and for your kind comment, dar. I liked #3 because of that little bonus in the background!

Nice shots there.

It is not really possible to make definite IDs without seeing the foliage, especially with sunflowers and asters, but here goes.

The first one is an Aster, possibly "Panicled Aster" Symphyotrichum lanceolatum.

The second one is most likely "St. Peter's-wort" Hypericum crux-andreae.

My guess on the third one is "Swamp Sunflower" Helianthus angustifolius.

Thank you, Mike, for your kind comment and for the ID's. I'll try to remember to include some of the foliage in the shot when I want to ID a plant.
