I have a chance to get a Minolta 28-70 f/2.8 G lens for a very good price, but the current owner said he has been using it on his A99 with a micro adjustment and can't guarantee it will focus on my A65 since my camera doesn't do micro adjustment. The lens isn't local so I can't try it out. To my understanding, the adjustment is done in-camera and doesn't change the lens. Am I right? It's a good price, but I still don't want to waste my money if it won't focus on my A65.
I shoot with my A65 in Macro and am pleased with the results! Maybe you should explore your camera with a good book on the A65 such as, David Buschs. In it you will find the A65 DOES have macro what you might be calling micro? Sony makes three macro lens; 30, 50 and 100mm lens. You can also use extension tubes. If you can get to try the lens, go to SCN and select macro!
