Weird Cat. ID please

Hi All
Number 1 is just a caterpillar, number 2 I had to poke him with a stick to make him move. Every time I poked this 3/4 inch forked tongue came out, I was too slow to catch the full extension.Poke refocus and shoot, poke refocus and shoot, I think I need an assistant to poke while I focus and shoot. Number 3 is the weird one, head on he looks like one of my kin. REJ.

Most likely a fifth instar caterpillar of a Giant swallowtail (Papilio cresphontes) butterfly:
