Having a good year and having fun so far shooting football. I have 6 kids to shoot on Thursdays and Fridays. Now that the monsoons from the huricanes have moved on maybe I can get some of that good lighting again for my early games.

Thanks. IMHO, a good sports shot needs a ball and a face. You have both in all three listed shots. The second is my favorite by far as it is the closest (or best crop). All three shots are good. I was wondering about the DOF and that's why I asked for the info. Given the lens and the distance I'd expect you to be from the play action, I understand the DOF obtained. In addition, your ability to catch the moment seems spot on. I was always taught "if you see it, you missed it" and there are some (very frustrating) days where I see too much! Nice job!

Thanks for pulling the meta data ED. I am using a Tamron f2.8 DI LD A001. This lens has an amazing bokeh. It is a little slow focusing sometimes in low light if both teams are wearing white. Its nice to get some early games on Thursdays to get some good lighting. I have been shooting in the 6400 ISO range in the last two ballgames on Fridays on some old fields.
