I like to use Microsoft Photo Editor to review/cull photos. However, I always get the message "photo too large". Is there a way to increase the file handling capacity of this program? I am using Windows XP.

You may want to look at a free organizer/editor called Faststone (www.faststone.org), FastStone Image Viewer 4.6 Freeware (Last Update: 2011-06-29). You can review, organize, and edit your photos. Recommended by my local camera club.

This is a great suggestion. It probably does at least what MPE did. Or even Google's Picasa; free as well.

Or use Irfanview -- free, does a great job, and the programmer is very responsive and involved with his program. I have used it for years on WinNT, Win2000, WinXP, Vista and Win7/64.

http://irfanview.com -- get the plugins also.

I have been using faststone for a few years now and love it. Do not use photoshop anymore because I was spending more time on the computer than taking pictures.
