I know how stupid this is, but my Rename Folder and Delete Folder selections are next to each other in the PMP drop down file. What recovery programs do you suggest to recover the files off the SD card (I have not overwritten it).

If you're adventurous (in a good kind of way), you might also want to try the open source PhotoRec:

http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec

According to the site, PhotoRec runs under

DOS/Windows 9x
Windows NT 4/2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008/7
Linux
FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD
Sun Solaris
Mac OS X

On the PC side, cardrecovery is also good. You can get it at http://www.cardrecovery.com

All Lexar and Sandisk cards come with free recovery software that many customers are unaware of, and they both work extremely well. I use the Lexar recovery software all the time for customers card problems. Its so good I have recovered pics over 5 years old that had been overwritten more than a few times. (And a few of embarrassing consequences. ;-) )

That actually makes sense. Thanks to each of you. I also found out that you can lock the disc to prevent data loss while doing a file transfer. I am placing this under Things You Should Have Known!

Don't worry Light and shadow, you're not the first, and I very much doubt you'll be the last!!!!!! I too have found the need to recover files from SD card, - I have used, (With some success), Recuva.

I got this software and was able to recovered my picture for FREE. I finally got a good picture for an armature, and it got deleted by mistake 😭. I tried all the other so call free softwares, but I had to buy the upgrade to get 1 picture only for 50. Your tip is the best.
