Different take on a Panorama

I was sampling the scenery along Lyon's Creek when I came across this display. If I wanted to get it all into the frame, I would have had to get way back or very wide and then crop. This would lose the detail I was finding interesting, so I decided to take a panorama of a few images and do a splice to see if the effect would work close-up. What do you think? I like the results. Must play with it some more later.

I hadn't taken panoramas of close-up subjects before. it does take a bit longer in post to get the image, but there is much more image to work with when done.

With a subject as detailed as a bouquet, I enjoyed working the details in post.

I like non-standard formats and this is a perfect example of when it works quite well to stitch more than one photo together. I vote "yes, it works!"

I was a bit apprehensive as to whether it would work or not as the image is very complex. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I like it very much, David, and it's especially impressive on the download. Your pano works beautifully.

Thank you Donna. I wasn't sure the stitching would work with an image so close to the camera as I rotated it.
