Jerry
Just looked like you took it portraiture and it rotated ;) On another thought. What do your Blue Bird houses look like? I put up several around the yard 2 years ago and I only saw one at the feeder this year. And he lived somewhere, but not in any of my houses. What do you do to get them in yours? I have mine along the property line on the fence posts, not close to each other. We have woods on 3 sides of the yard. I am at a lose.

here is one of my bluebird boxes they use every year 3-4 times a year. (about 6.5 ft off the ground in a open space but really the corner of garage/out-building.They feed or just land on the shepards hook where I have other bird feeders and have a straight flight right to the box. Lid raises up so I can take photos but last year I had to put the green ties on it after I saw a neighborhood cat sitting on top of it and it did get the female bird. I have had a lot of blue-birds this year??? Some days maybe 8-10 at the same time. They seem to like a bird feed called nut & berries (about $19.00 for big bag at Wal-Mart) and they like peanut suet this year.??? Never have before?

This is the only one I had in the yard. I don't know where he was living. And only saw him now and then. This what most of my houses look like. Guess I have to build a few more. The bottom comes off to clean. I did the suet. Thanks for the pictures, very nice shots!!

you can get plans off the net on how to build them ETC ETC. I have 4-5 & none with pegs. No pegs keep other birds out or away.

Jerry and Erv; Great Bluebird pictures!! I see them at my BB boxes every month of the year, Jerry is correct --no perches it only attracts other birds I have both square boxes and Peterson boxes on my BB trails about 40 in all Incidently, they like open meadows or grassy areas where they can catch insect larva.Hope you get some this year Erv.
