Which is the Latin name of the yellow orb weaver spider.
This is a female, as the male is way, way, smaller and not at all colorful. I really like the yellow and black pattern on the back.
These spiders are pretty common in the U.S.
These were taken with my Olympus OM-D E-M10 using an
auto 10mm. extension tube with the 14-42mm lens, handheld.
The last pic is of a different spider, don't know what kind, but is only about a 1/4 inch long. You can see it has it's dinner bagged up in the upper right.
