To bee or not to bee...55-300 lens with 20mm ext tube

This post was meant to compare macro shots with the SX50. However, everything considered, as much as I like the Canon, I didn't get anything with it which belongs in this thread. Except the turkey. Maybe someone else can........

Clarify for me, these were taken with the extension tubes, where does the sx50 come in?

I love the third and fourth bee shots!!!

You're not gonna like me anymore......But none of the SX50 shots were good enough to post in a thread with the ext. tube shots.

Really??!!!!!!!!
Why, I have no problem shooting macro with the sx50, the tubes on the other hand I need time to work on that!

...and have you tried the tubes with other lenses other than the 300?

Yep, I've tried them with my 18-55 kit lens as well as a 35mm prime lens. The advantage of the longer lens is that you don't have to get right down in the bee's face to take the shot. These were done at a distance of about one to three feet. Yes, they're cropped.
