mainly because you guys keep bugging me to try it. my last two outings I shot in raw, then converted them to jpeg and tiff,. raw is ok, but I get good results converting to jpeg, or to tiff and saving as jpeg.

The belt and braces method is;
If in doubt - shoot RAW + JPG.
Then if the JPG is OK - use that, if you need more from the picture then use the RAW.

Just to be sure, are you merely converting, or doing adjustments before the conversion?
