she came in tonight- fawns in tow, as i got closer to her, I saw her hoof was draining and she was cleaning it every so often. The hoof is making contact with the ground for longer periods of time, altho I can see shes not applying full pressure on it.
Its a start - a very good one.

She looks very thin. Her face is so expressive. Hope she gets better and pulls through. Thank you so much for sharing.

Shes lost a lot of weight with this and i am hoping she can heal quickly to put on weight for the season and rebuild her muscles before winter sets in.
Thanks for following her injury.

She's thin, but I bet she pulls through! Very nice and clear shots!

Oh, my... she's much too thin, isn't she? Even if her foot does heal, winter will have to hold off for a little while, is she's to put on enough weight to make it through. The fawns will soon be old enough to survive on their own, if need be, don't you think?

I hope she gets better. Poor thing; I don't like to see anything suffer!

I am sure your correct Andy. Nursing those fawns at this time and before probably more than likely stressed her already thin frame when this happened to her.

Shes alert Sarah- a good sign and to see the hoof draining is another good sign.
Just hoping she heals quickly to put some weight back on before the snow covers the ground.

That's heartbreaking, she does look very thin.
Hope she fattens up before winter comes.
Beautiful shots of such sweey faces, Marilyn!

That's what I was thinking. Nursing, is a job! Once the fawns move on she can spend time geting herself better. I'm betting you'll see her next year with 1 or 2 more fawns. She might have a limp, but no worse. Keep posting her recovery!

i think its drained everything from her- we just need some healing now and food in her tummy.

Thanks for the update. Hope the flies do not bother it, that could be gross. I just love the fourth picture. But she is thin. Happy to hear that she is putting more weight on it. Keep us posted!

It hurts me to see these. She is so thin. But if the foot is still healing, that is what is taking all her strength and weight away from her. I it is going into healing the foot. But I hope it gets better before the weather turns. Thank you, I always think of her!

Shes keeping it pretty clean with constant licking.
Shes also got an appetite but apparently not getting enough good things to eat.
Praying hard for her to heal and get over this.
