Here's some shots from the 2014 Reno Air Races.

Very nice and some difficult shooting. What kind of equipment were you using?
Thank you. Yes this year was much tougher than last year. Last year I was using a much faster shutter speed and froze the props. This year I slowed the shutter speed to 1/200 and had to follow the planes very closely. And when these guys are going 250+ MPH it takes some doing.
The action shots were taken with my Canon 70D and a Canon 100-400mm lens. All shots were taken hand held and a lot of them didn't come out so good but I had a heck of a good time trying!

Very good action shots Pete.

So, a 160-640, effective. That's some pretty good panning! I imagine the new spectators' seating, pushed back, wouldn't have made much difference with the kind of reach you had. Again, nice shots - not unlike a bird in flight (though a plane is a bigger target, it also moves a heck of a lot faster!)

Thank you very much ebbote
Very good stopped action. Very Clear.
Nice shots! It's refreshing to see that someone on this board understands about prop blur.
I believe you meant to say F22 Raptor with the P51.
Again, good series.

You are absolutely right! where'd the Hornet come from? It is a Raptor and thank you for your comments.
