Looks a lot like a FF upgrade to the D7000 feature-wise, they exactly doubled its CMOS sensor, and added a CF slot. I think it might take some sales away from the D4 in certain areas due to the price being half that of the D4, but time will tell.
Bless you Goofy! (But you are a damn fool! LOL)

I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!! just gotta figure whick bank i gotta knock off to afford one. gotta go clean the drool of my keyboard now.
This camera is awesome. Now, do I need a couple of extra hardrives to store these images on? They're going to take up some serious space.
I'm so used to 12 with the D700 and D300's.
Gota get another server.
Video is the big winner here I think.

You're so kind Erv. Guess I will have to take you on a Yellowstone excursion while you are here dropping mine off!
So just because I love my Fuji Finepro I'm chopped liver? A fine example of camerism!
I have an S5 pro too.
Shhhh! Don't tell others how great the color is.
They'll be jealous and disappointed they can't buy a new one.
It will be our secret.

But which one the regular or the D800E?
I just read Ken Rockwells review, he doesn't get this impressed with ANYTHING pre-release, but sure can't say enough about the features here. Only con was the removal of the D7000's U1 and U2 feature, I would miss them too. He also goes on a LOT about the Nikkor 28-300mm VR lens as being THE lens for the D800 body, since I already have that lens I am half-way home right? LOL
Maybe I should consider the D800 rather than wait for the D7100, Ken seems to think so. (Anybody need a nice D90???) It even uses the D7000 battery, only 2 Nikons to use that battery. I have been impressed with it, that for sure.

I was up late and ordered the D800 from Amazon at 2am, but I am wondering about the D800E version. Time will tell.
