An interview with jvcookies,
1) How long have you been into photography and what got you started?
As long as I can remember
2) Do you have any formal training and what kind of photography do you do most?
No formal training...love to photograph all kinds of people...but enjoy other subjects as well.
3) In your opinion, what makes a good picture stand out from the rest?
The subject, composition and the lighting
4) What equipment did you use and was there any special setup? Can you walk us through it?
I have the Canon 7D Usually use on camera flash with the Gary Fong Diffuser...but sometimes I fool with studio lights that were left to me by a Camera Buddy...still learning that!
5) Do you post process your final images, and if so can you describe your workflow?
Photoshop CS6...upload to Bridge, process in Camera RAW and then tweak some images in Photo Shop
6) Who or what has influenced your photography and what inspired you to take your winning shot?
I have a playful nature and I aim to make experiences fun. I came up with the bubbles from being a kindergarten teacher in the past. I try to remember to use bubbles and straws with kids.
7) Would you change anything if you could do it again, and if so what?
Would aim to compose a pyramid shape with the subjects instead of a line...could have used just three children...but this was a family.
8) What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?
Learn to see the light and use it to your advantage.
9) What is your favorite photography accessory, other than your camera?
Gary Fong diffuser.
10) If you had to choose one lens which one would it be and why?
Love my 24-70L Canon lens
11) What lighting equipment, if any, do you take on a shoot?
12) If you couldn't do photography what else would you do?
