At that price I would assume you'll be giving up AF.
You don't tell us the lens you wish to use with this. I can tell you unless it is a 2.8 lens, you will cripple or lose autofocus and for $100.00 I can almost guarantee you will lose all your image quality. GOOD converters are a lot more money.
I will be using it on a canon efs 55-250 kit lens
OK that is not the full description, but I would guess it is a f/4-f5.6?
If it is, forget the converter. YOu will make it into a f/8-f/11 and AF fails. You also need to do some investigation to see if will even mount.

I don't believe it will work on an EFS lens. But either way I would only use Canon extenders. I have a 2x that will only work on L lenses. As the Captain stated unless you have it on a 2.8 AF won't work.
I bought a Cheap Teleconverter. Bad error. All pix are ruined .
Like the guy said earlier, good teleconverters are Expensive.
sorry Captain it is an f4-5.6 Canon 55-250 efs lens. I will not get the extender I will just have to save up my money and buy a better lens thanks for all the help.
Captain C is right again. Generally, the only converter that is going to give satisfactory results is the one made by the lens maker, and then only with some of the lenses made by that maker. You lens maker tech support should be able to tell you which lenses work with their converter.
You will probably be giving up aut-focus, since most cameras want at least f/4 to have enough light for the camera's auto-focus to work well. You will lose one f/stop with a 1.4x converter, two stops with a 2x converter, and don't even think about anything beyond that.
Last painful fact of life: expect to pay in the $500+ neighborhood.
Even the Canon Teleconverters won't work with that lens.
