All-in-one vs photo printer.

Recently bought Epson all-in-one WF-3640. Have trouble w/ photo glossy paper. Comes out w/roller marks in paper. Sometimes doesn't come out.
Could/should I buy a photo printer and hook in w/ all-in-one. Can I run both? Need all-in-one for business.
Print 8.5x11 only. I'd be able to go larger w/ printer?
Thanks in advance

If recently bought, there is a problem with the printer, use your warranty to get it fixed.

Other question:
You get what you pay for: Convenience good enough for all purposes.

If you want quality invest in specialized equipment or devices.

Totally agree. Yes you can run both printers from your computer and a dedicated photo printer will print different sizes.

I have 2 printers, a very inexpensive Epson 835 all-in-one that's about 5 yrs old and an Epson r3000 that I got on sale for $550 last year. The 835 is networked to all the devices in the house so everybody can print on it wirelessly and scan stuff into whatever device. The r3000 is MINE and is connected by USB to my photo editing desktop only, on purpose. It does a magnificent job at handling my photos, and that is ALL it does. The old 835 handles all the everyday stuff. This has been a great arrangement for us.

I usually have two printers; one four-in-one for every day use and another just for photos. I don't need the fax, but it's nice to have a printer, copier, scanner in one unit. Takes up less space.

In the past, I've had Epson ink jet printers for photos and a Brother color laser printer for every day use. Now I have an HP inkjet for every day use and a Canon Pixma Pro-1 printer for photos. I also have a small portable Canon printer which I can take with me if I want to print pictures on the spot. It has a cable and also runs on a battery. I use this if I'm taking pictures at my dog club fun show.

Yes if the are USB compatible then use a hub select the All-in-one as default and when you want to print choose the photo printer machine
