I think the 16-300 is crop censer and the 28-300 is for full and crop censer cameras. Am I right or wrong MT Shooter....Rich

Right on both counts, and image quality is MUCH different between the two. But the OP still has not verified WHICH lens he is actually asking about.

The 16-300mm, by far. The 28-300mm Tamron is far from one of their better lenses, although there is a new PZD version coming out that I have yet to see (it will easily be better that the non-PZD version I am sure).

I have the 28 - 300 Tamron. Nice useful lens for full frame.
