Just a lazy sunday for the Deer.

Ms. Suzie came in / ate grass/ drank to her hearts content and went and laid down in the bushes with her family.
an hour later a injured female ( last years fawn) came hobbling thru.
I sure hate to see that!
her right front hoof was in bad shape/ swollen/ toes spread apart and it looked like a foot ball. I hope she mends, because i could see she was in pain.
Just beautiful photos, Marilyn, as ususal! That's sooo sad about the injured doe! Hope somehow she can get help! :(

The DOW will not come out to help her. she'd have to be on her last leg and then they still would not come out.
I was not close enough to see with out the binoculars and even then i could not tell if it was broken at the very last digit at her hoof. All i know is it was tender and very very swollen with the hoof toes spread wide apart.

I see them across the street in the mornings. They are waiting for me to go to work before they come in for breakfast.:):) I am going to clean up the front part of the woods this fall. That will make it easier for pictures.:) I did redo the rub I put out for them before we left. I put it across the trail they use and put it like a W. Looks like they are rubbing it now and I haven't seen any flies on them.:):) Now I am worried about the Males with their rakes.:) Can't win. I went back tonight and made the tie downs out of a lighter string so if they get tangled, it will break easier.:)

Thank you, Linda.
I don't know if the yearling will be back thru to keep abreast of her outcome. It was a first for my seeing her here.
