One Prothonotary Warbler that visits the Hummingbird feeder drinks nectar that has spilled under the plastic bloom. We have observed this on several occasions.

Thanks for looking, Angela. They are really beautiful little birds that return every year. They like living near the river and many times you will see them searching for insects, usually looking on the lower sides of the tree leaves. Hope Buster and the kitties are all doing well. Take care!

Thanks for looking and the complement , Sirius one! They have visited us for many seasons, but this is the first season that we have seen any feeding on nectar. I'm really a novice and know very little about post processing and using any software.

Thanks for your kind comment Frodo. Early in the spring it's easy to hear their distinctive calling to each other, but later in the summer you rarely hear them, although on several occasion while sitting on the deck my wife and I would see one using the bird bath.
