I have a Minolta t102 camera that belonged to a family member.
It came with a couple of lenses. Is it possible thru using an adapter to use these lenses on a Canon 60d?
There are adapters out there on eBay. (I did a search for "MD to EOS" without the quotes, of course) for $70, they claim "AF Confirm" which is a handy feature if you are in AV on your dial.
I found a similar adapter for my Yashica M42 mounts that does the same and works very well. It was about $20,
For some reason all the MD -> EOS seem to involve a piece of glass, probably why it is more cost.

Thanks for the info. I just checked out eBay. Looks like there are possibilities.
Depending on what the lens are, they could be far more useful
on Sony products?
Old manual focus Minolta lenses won't fit on newer Minolta (or Sony) auto focus cameras. They changed the mount when they went to AF cameras. If an adapter involves a glass element to achieve infinity focus, the quality of that element will degrade the quality of the original lens.

The old style Minolta lenses are all manual. If they are zoom they are not up to todays lenses in sharpnes. I used Minoltas in film days (at least 5 bodies & 10 lenses) and looked into using them on digatal and decided it was not worth the effort. I did have a few t-mount lenses that work fine. If one of your lenses is a spiritone 400 (I think 1/2 the slr owners of the 60's-70's got one) It is a t mount and will work with the mount that is under $10 on eBay. - Dave
I am sure you are correct. My collection of Minolta lenses are all alpha mount
compatible. Minolta owned its own glass company for the manufacture of its lenses and many of these are valued for their ability to produce quality colors.
At present I am having a good time with some old Minolta lenses on a Sony
NEX-5n with the LA-EA2 adapter so far the metering and focus seems to work
very well.

The more I read comments the more I believe it's probably not worth the effort. I haven't had film loaded in this camera in many years. I'll probably pick up a roll or 2 and shoot with it just to get a better picture ( no pun intended ).
:)
I use a Minolta 50mm Macro MD lens with a Fotodiox adapter with a canon 7D & T2i.
I have to agree with Screamin Scott. I researched adapters to use my old FD Canon Lens & if it included glass in the adapter it degraded the image. Now an adapter without glass is another story. Good luck finding one. Canon did make an adapter but it was high dollar.
