in this comparison with the 85mm lens, how does 3P-Mpix equate to the final product? is it visual? is it REALLY worth the extra money? {lets answer this from a professional point of view} because if it were from a hobbiest point it probably would not make a difference ??

{my point of view I would buy the better lens! I have 1.8 in 35mm it is ok I can get some good photos, but could they be better? with a better lens}

To me...I wouldn't worry. I don't get excited by DXO mark stuff. I might use it as a general guideline and then check other sources and reviews and see what others get when using the lenses.

I just bounced the Leica M9 against the Oly OMD- Em5 and the M9 lost so...take the info as just an indicator among others.

PS: take it from me....don't succumb to gear lust (If I just had X gear my images would be better!)

Not true.

I've seen enough amazing images taken with crappy gear to know better and I've spend THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS chasing that illusion myself.

The Leica M9 scored the lowest DXO mark score in their history...so not sure how relevant it really is.
