We have the rounds here too Gidgette, the full size bales run 700 to 1100 pounds out of them. Not as bad as the BIG square bales though, they typically go 2200 to 2500 pounds, mostly for commercial feeders though. we sent something like 3 million tons of hay (mostly the big squares because they ship well) from Montana to Texas this last fall because of the drought down there. We had record rainfalls last spring that caused quite a bit of flooding but also made for record hay crops so there was an excess available.
