I just had my new Sigma 50mm f2.8 EX DG Macro lens delivered. Been wanting a 50mm "macro" for some time. This lens seems to be a very good match for my Pentax K-50 body. Good build quality and a nice weight balance, though I do lose the weather sealing when it’s mounted. Please try the downloads.

Don't limit yourself to f/2.8. Sometimes by raising the ISO just a bit, and going up to f/5.6, you get a bit more depth of field that will encompass a whole flower.

I especially like your basil leaves.

Hello, Bob. Thank you for the nice comment. I agree with you. I read that this lens is actually a little sharper at f4 thru f8. I'm having fun playing around with it though.
