I downloaded the latest version of NX-D from Nikon. So far I really like more than I did the beta version. There are a few features that I wish it had like a color point tool and a text capability for adding a watermark. Any of you hogs have a experiences with NX-D that you would like to share? Hopefully if we get enough comments we could get the package changed?
I'm continuing to use Capture NX-2. I've read that NX-D doesn't have the U-point technology and is a more basic editor much like View NX-2. Google purchased Nik software who made Capture NX-2 for Nikon. There must be some sort of licensing issue and Nikon was no longer able to continue with Nik. Maybe I'll have to switch in the future.

Does NX-2 have all of the NIK modules ???
I see you can still purchase from B&H.

No, it doesn't have the Nik collection. Nik made it for Nikon and included their proprietary U-point technology. It's been a great editor and RAW processor for Nikon files. They recently stopped updating it. If you buy it go on Nikon's website and update it to the last version.

I am a long time CaptureNX2 and never hesitated to recommend it to people who were shooting NEF files.
Having read that NX2 will no longer be supported, I figured I better get used to NXD.
Today was my first try.
Yes, I wish they still had the U-point feature, but to me, more importantly is the lack of the masking brush!
Either I couldn't find it or it just isn't there.
I use that feature in one way or another on almost all the images I process.
Please someone tell me that I it is really still there and I .just missed it
