Very first 35mm camera. It was the Kodak Pony 135. I bought it when I was 13 years old with MY OWN MONEY and I remember thinking that I was hot stuff with a camera like that. It had f/stops and shutter speeds . . . WOW!!!

How fun! I wish I still had my little Brownie camera... My first one, in the 50's. I remember it well.

It's like finding an old friend, isn't it? My first good camera was an Agfa, and I eventually gave it away. I recently bought one on ebay for a few dollars, and it works. Brings back memories.

I bought an Agfa Isoflash in 1968 and that got me started.

A bit of advice to any newbies reading this: Hang onto your cameras if you can. Someday you may get great pleasure out of having them. I wish I still had my first one. A Kodak from the mid '60's. Don't know the model. Grey plastic with a little round flash built in. Took AG1 flashbulbs if I remember correctly. Square format film. 100 something was the number. 110?

127, maybe? My first camera cost $0.98, from Whalen's drug store. It was a half frame camera. It would take one picture when I pushed down on the shutter lever and another image on the other half of the frame when I raised the shutter lever. After a while, the lever stopped working.

Could be 127. I bought it just before going to 'Nam in early '68 and used it for several months before buying my first 35mm, a Yashica Electro 35. Wish I still had that one also!

My very first 35mm was a Minolta SRT102 and I still have it. I don't use it anymore but still have it. And, no I didn't pay for it with my own money, my mother bought it for me for Christmas only after months of begging. I have a plethora of lenses including several fisheye's and have recently been looking at adapters to put them on my D610 to be able to use those fine old MC Rokker lenses.

I also still have my first "BIG BOY" camera it is the Minolta SR 1. I bought it on base when I was a G.I. in Japan in the mid 60's. It was $85.00 on base and in the states at that time it was $185.00. I still have it and the lenes for it. It feels very heavy to lift compared to today's cameras :) AND I just found the instruction book for it.

I could find more goodies because I am cleaning out my home.
