That's why I have all of my equipment insured for full replacement value.

'Cuz you never know ....
And I can't afford to replace it myself.

Appropriately filmed at Cannon Beach, OR. That's why I don't do video with my DSLR. It's also why I don't leave my camera unattended on a tripod.

It does show the durability of a $10 SD card, though.

Every year we have people lost in the surf, getting caught by sneaker waves. Some are standing on the logs that roll in the surf, others just on the rocks.

Bigbear: What about equipment insurance for non professional?
Well I guess I’m a professional as this lady gave me a $1.00 to take her picture.
But while the PPA looks great, it does seem for props only. I did note that new non pros members didn’t get the insurance.
