yup, that'll ruin your day
remind me never to do this with my MK II
That's why I have all of my equipment insured for full replacement value.
'Cuz you never know ....
And I can't afford to replace it myself.

Fish One Zed - Never do that with your MK II!
Oh the irony! That's Haystack Rock in the background, and the location is...... <insert drum roll>.... Cannon Beach....
Appropriately filmed at Cannon Beach, OR. That's why I don't do video with my DSLR. It's also why I don't leave my camera unattended on a tripod.
It does show the durability of a $10 SD card, though.
If you can't afford the risk of using it, don't buy it. Or insure it.
Cheers,
R.

Every year we have people lost in the surf, getting caught by sneaker waves. Some are standing on the logs that roll in the surf, others just on the rocks.

Bigbear: What about equipment insurance for non professional?
Well I guess Im a professional as this lady gave me a $1.00 to take her picture.
But while the PPA looks great, it does seem for props only. I did note that new non pros members didnt get the insurance.
