Football Practice - Kicking Game

I was out at local High School Practice again.

Guys were working on the kicking Game.

Nikon D-5000, Nikon 70-200mm FX Lens on Dx Body Pre-Set White Balance, ISO 200, Aperture Mode

I was trying to get a little more focal length with the 70-200 FX on the D-5000 verses the D-600. Worked pretty good on hot mid afternoon West Florida day.

Hope to try it out this Thursday night under the lights when the JV Team has their first game.

Blessings,

tom

Very nice Tom!!! That is one of your best shots!!!! I wish we lived closer, you could try out my new 80-400. It is awesome!!!! And the 600 with it's handling the higher ISO . I think you would love it!:):) Remember Christmas is coming.:):) Want me to send a little note to the wife? :):)

Tom, having the D5XXX is a bonus for the extra reach and your 70-200 is a lovely lens. At night I would favor the D600 for higher ISO though it provides less "reach". I'm sure you already know this and am pretty sure that YOU would do really well if all you had was an old Brownie. Looking forward to your game photos. ;)

Thanks, appreciate it. Yes, I use the 70-200 with the D-600 at night games.

I missed tonights J V Game the Bride had to have a lens installed due to cataracts this afternoon and was a bit wobbly after the late procedure. The other eye in ten days then she may leave this ugly bald old man she has put up with when she gets good eye sight...haha

Thanks for the comments, I always like to have anyone offer advice, I have learned a lot on uhh...Erv has been a real Blessings. He gave me his email and has answer tons of dumb arse questions and looked at some pretty crappy photos and always made positive comments, often dress a bad one up and sending it back for me to understand what I did wrong. I still got a lot to learn. Main thing I am having fun..

Blessings,

tom

I learned 99% of it from this Guy in Ohio....You may know him..He is one of mY Hero's...

Several people taking Photos at Football, see me pull out the Coffee Filter You told me to use, and take a shot of it. They look at me, then one came up and ask me what I was doing. I told them I was setting White Balance, that interested them. One Pro-Photographer with Pro-Prep Sports that takes Photos to promote kids for College Sports came over and chatted to me about it. Told me He had broken his Expo Disc., ask to borrow my Coffee Filter. Next practice He told me, man that works like a charm. I had told him my Friend in Ohio had told me about it...

First full Season Varsity Game tomorrow night, I am pumped like a Young Kid. All the H. S. Kids and their parents love the photos we take and post on Facebook H S Page.

Thanks Erv..anytime I get a thumbs up from You..I'm a happy Ole Bald Fart.

Hi to your Beautiful Ms Janny, love all the Family Photos, Mr Harrison growing like a weed. I have been busy so have not got on to comment prior to now..

Blessings,

tom

Hi Tom! You are way to kind. I am just learning too.:):) But I am cheap.:):) I knew I should have gotten more stock in coffee filters. Darn!!!:)

We are haven fun with the kids and Harrison. But they sure right using up my weekends. But it is so worth it.:) Janny says thank you.:):)

Tell Sandy to take it very easy Tom. I don't know what your doctor said to her But I have had several friends go through this eye thing too. The ones that walk around and start being active, have had to go back in and get them done again. She should be sitting and letting you go all the cooking and cleaning. :)
Love ya Tom!
