Hi All,

I want to be able to view my photos on my computer as I take them. I know this can be done, but I would like to know if I need a special program to do it. How do I go about doing it?

Thank,
Joanie

Depends on your camera, but you will need "tethering" software to accomplish this.

Many cameras come with the hardware and software to tether up to tvs and pcs and laptops.

If you have a wireless router available the Eye-fi Pro 2X is very simple and you needn't buy anything extra. You do need to be near your computer (I can't recall the exact range) I use one and love it. Check it out here to see if this might be an inexpensive and quick solution to your issue.

I've been tempted to try the eye-fi, but it seemed too good to be true. No problems or complaints?

I am not so worried about being wireless/cordless. I will have my laptop, so I can have it near my camera.

Not one problem and not one compaint. Very easy to set up and there's no leaning curve to deal with at all.

Is the GoPro attached to the outside of the aircraft? If so, how?

they have different surface mounts with sticky pads. which we use are own glue with. flat surface, curved that match curve of a helmet. they have squeeze bolt clamps that would work on a bicycle handle bars. we shoot videos watching landing gear acuate opening an closing to match altitude switch. that got so easy with that gopro. at widest angle setting which is dtermened the shooting mode. it will shoot as wide as 167 deg. at 16.9 ratio an can shoot in HD or wvga at wvga which is easy to convert to slowmotion 60 fps, 720 =30 fps, another 720 has 60 fps, at 960 =30 fps, 1080 @ 30 fps. picture mode during day average light it shoots f3.6 iso 400. exposure time 1/8 sec. max apretuare of 3.7 2 metering modes to choose centered an averages. in low light no flash everything is same but exposure time of 1/2 sec we made are own mounting. an went with a thether also. they have about 14 didderent factory mounts to choose. plus all you can dream up.

I don't think you'd need a wireless router. As I understand it the eye-fi can connect directly to your computer as long as it has wi-fi card. All recent laptops do. It is a "peer-to-peer" connection.

I don't have one, though, so could be wrong.
