Has anyone taken a "learn your camera" or "learn to take great pictures" tour

I was just wondering if theres any one out there that has taken one of these tours and what they cost, and what they learned. I know we all can learn no matter what we know.

I haven't taken one, but I'd sure be interested in it. How did you learn about it or where do they tour. I live near Chicago, maybe there are some around here that I don't know about. Or is it a different type of tour you learn about your camera with on-line classes? I'm interested in knowing more about this myself. Thanks, Cheryl

Cheryl, I am looking at doing a tour this year in Alaska. I was just wondering if anyone has taken one and what it cost them and what they thought of it. These are actual hand on tours, not online.

I know there are several of them all over.

Post a URL or two, so those who may be interested can follow up on it.

My 'learn to take better pictures' tour has lasted about 45 years so far and has cost hundreds of thousands...

On one of these paid-for vacation/tutorials, a great deal must depend on your personality, and the personality of the tutor. Many of them don't really know very much, or know a lot about their own specialized corner, and not much else. Personally, I'd rather spend the money on independent travel; on going to galleries; and on taking my own pictures, not the ones someone else suggests. That's why I said that a lot depends on personality...

Cheers,

R.

I went on an Alaskian cruise back in 1985, beautiful state to photograph. I, too, have a few Minolta SRT's (202, 201) and love those old cameras. I would like to take a guided tour with a professional photographer at least once, just to see how they do things. Cheryl ;)
