Deer pictures from the new hobby farm.
We moved from the Twin Cities to a hobby farm and haven't been on the UHH site much because of the items needing repair. So here are a few shots of the critters roaming the alfalfa.
I know your there on the deck.
We're still watching you closely and don't trust you yet.
Break time.

You may as well get used to seeing these folks, they are the natives and you are the interlopers! Be very nice and hospitable and they might let you stay. Enjoy, YOU will have to make exceptions for them.

I'm sure, once they understand the new neighbours are not harmful, they'll take a more relaxed approach to visiting.

Neat your new farm came already equipped with workers to help harvest your flowers and veggies :)
We are used to the natives as we had many of them at our old home. If you want to look at the pictures there are many of them. I know I won't see as many big bucks as the area by the old house was in the city and there was no hunting there. The wildlife area they had to roam in the city covered many acres and it joined the side and back of our property. We had many days when I was leaning over the 4 foot fence 6 feet away from a doe and her fawns. As you say it will take a while for these deer to get used to us as the old owner had a dog that ran loose. We keep our English Cocker on leash except when play in the yard and then he doesn't get close to the area where the deer hang around. Thanks for looking David
Thanks for looking Bob and yes I am sure we will form a closer bond as the year goes by. We have only been in the house since the end of March and then only part of the time as I prepared the old home for the market.
Well Linda so far they haven't been up to the house or pasture where the cows are and that is where the flowers are. We have been to busy to plant a garden this year as we moved in the end of March and I have been busy with repairs here and on the wife's family farm. The invites from the farm keep on coming, rock picking, hay raking and stacking and painting and removing shingles and replacing them with steel roofing. I hope to get more time now back on the UHH forum and will post some pics of the hobby farm and family farm work that has been done.
