Nothing eerie about it, really, just white ...... and if you can manipulate the background, it has a nice ghostly glow to it.

Nice shot, Bob. I like the slight vignetting--that makes the photo, I think.

Thanks jaymatt. I use vignetting like most other b&w editors - to make the central subject pop. As it turns out, the sky was not all that dramatic either until I highlighted the structure, then darkened them to create a mood.

Nice presentation. The choice of using black and white made the photo.

Thank you Bob. There are sooooo many barn photos posted that I wanted to make this one stand out from the rest. A little bit of dramatic monochrome was a nice way to go about it.

Nice one, Bob. This particular 'ghost' appears quite benign, no evil in those 'eyes,' lol. Great processing!

Thank you Randy. This one was all about transformation ...... taking an otherwise unremarkable barn in a field of incredibly lush grass and converting it into something that would keep the cows from eating the foundations out from under it.

Great PP turning a (IMO) mundane subject into a great image.

Thanks Manglespho. You're right about the barn ...... had it not been for some special treatment, this one was a rather ho-hum rural scene.

Reminds me of those nights 70 years ago when I spent a summer on a farm and had to go to the barn in the dead of a moonlit night for some reason or another, now forgotten. So your shot is more than just a picture. Thanks.

Thank much John. I'm pretty sure that's why most photographs are taken in the first place ..... to preserve memories.
