Scary Obituary.....and it is occurring as you read this...

In 1887 Alexander Tyler,
a Scottish history professor at the University of
Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of
the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:
"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it
simply cannot exist as a permanent form
of government. A democracy will continue to
exist up until the time that voters discover
that they can vote themselves generous gifts
from the public treasury.
From that moment on, the majority always
votes for the candidates who promise the most
benefits from the public treasury, with the
result that every democracy will finally
collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is)
always followed by a dictatorship." "The average
age of the world's greatest civilizations from
the beginning of history, has been about 200
years. During those 200 years, these nations
always progressed through the following
sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;

From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;

From abundance to complacency;

From complacency to apathy;

From apathy to dependence;

From dependence back into bondage.

The Obituary follows:

Born 1776,
Died 2012

It doesn't hurt to read this several times.
Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline
University School of Law in St. Paul ,
Minnesota, points out some
interesting facts concerning the last
Presidential election:

Number of States won by:

Obama: 19
Romney: 29

Square miles of land won by:

Obama: 580,000
Romney: 2,427,000

Population of
counties won by:

Obama: 127 million
Romney: 143 million

and...

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in
counties won by:

Obama: 13.2
Romney: 2.1

Professor Olson adds:
"In aggregate, the map of the territory Romney
won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying
citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those
citizens living in low income tenements and
living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the
United States is now somewhere between the
"complacency and apathy" phase of Professor
Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty
percent of the nation's population already
having reached the "governmental dependency"
phase..

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship
to twenty million criminal invaders called
illegal’s - and they vote - then we can say
goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means,
disregard this message and continue living in a dream world.

If you are not, then speak out and for goodness sake, VOTE.
Everyone should realize just how much is at stake,
knowing that apathy is the greatest danger
to our freedom..

PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR COUNTRY!

This is an old email sent around to dopes who believed it in the Gore/Bush election, they just exchanged the names.

I guess it's true what they say, conservatives are dumb. We have 50 states!

HOW many times will people continue to read and forward before checking the facts?

Basically, if someone forwards you something it is probably false ;)

Didn't you hear, two states abstained, in both elections by coincidence!

Trivia question: was it the same two states in both elections?

And so you believe everything that you read in snoops?
Bottom line: If you think that this is not happening, you are fooling yourself and your future generations.

Never been proven wrong yet.... been using it for a long time now....

Funny how the Snopes version matched up EXACTLY to what the other fellow commented....

BTW - I would believe Snopes long before I believed 90% of what gets forwarded around the internet year after year.

Yes, your right! I should have caught that. However, the truth is right under our noses. Wake up America or there won't be one much longer!

Do you believe everything you get in an email and post it without even fact checking it? Can't you see because you are too lazy to look it up, that you are the fool? How many states are in the US? You are the type person this email is aimed for. You are commonly known as a sucker who would believe anything. Then you call out others because you believe in this fairy tale? If you would have even read it, you'd have known better but it feeds your hate and so it has to be 100% true. I really don't know how you've gotten along this far in your life.

You can believe in doom and gloom for as long as you want. You did something a lot of people do, you posted an email. In 99% of these cases, they have been wrong. I'm an optimist, you must be a joy to be around, fun, fun, fun, huh?

How is our president getting rid of the middle class when your party votes to give breaks to the richest of this country? Hal, you have to be fair when you're looking at our government and commenting. You repeat statements that are opinions, not fact.
